Cambrian slate RepairThe Cambrian slates snapped in half during high winds due to there being too much overhang and the slates not being clipped at the eave.
Our scaffolders skillfully put in place a cantilever scaffold which meant we could safely work over the glass facade. We corrected the detail removed the lead and put in place Leadax as an alternative to traditional lead. In this situation Leadax was much more suited than traditional lead due to it being stuck to the glass and non-oxidisation properties resulting in no staining on the glass. |
